Virtual Market Places is run by the World Bank, and funded by the Middle East and North Africa Transition Fund (MENA). The project supports the economic transition of countries in the MENA region. The initiative seeks to achieve a dual-track objective: to increase Small and Medium Enterprises’ (SMEs) exports through existing virtual marketplaces, and to support institutional reforms to create an enabling environment for e-commerce. The three-year project will also provide capacity building to approximately 600 SMEs selected in Jordan, Morocco, and Tunisia, with 200 companies in each country.
